Some numbers are worth shouting about. This is one of them: Huff Consolidated saw a 23% growth in math proficiency school-wide this year, pushing our overall number of proficient math students to the highest level in the school's history.
What the Growth Means
A jump like this doesn't happen in one grade level or one classroom. It happens when an entire building — every teacher, every aide, every student — moves in the same direction at the same time. That's exactly what happened at Huff this year.
Our school-wide intervention model brought every resource teacher and instructional aide into focused, skills-based support blocks, with progress checked every two weeks and groups adjusted in real time based on what the data showed. Pair that with the work our math teachers have done building student-led teams through our Model of Instruction — where students take ownership of problem-solving instead of waiting to be told the answer — and you get a culture where growth isn't a hope, it's an expectation.

This is a record for our school, and it belongs to every Raider who showed up, tried again, and didn't give up on a hard problem — and to every teacher who kept believing they could. Congratulations to our math team and to the entire Huff staff who helped more of our students reach proficiency than at any point in Huff Consolidated's history.
