"We Dream! We Believe! We Will Achieve!!"
That belief isn't just a saying at Huff Consolidated — it's showing up in the numbers. We are proud to announce that four grade-level assessment areas at Huff have now crossed the 50% proficiency mark, a milestone that reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the power of a school that operates as one team.
The Numbers
🧮 3rd Grade Math — over 50% proficient
📖 7th Grade ELA — over 50% proficient
📖 8th Grade ELA — over 50% proficient
🧮 8th Grade Math — over 50% proficient
For a school where every single one of our nearly 250 students qualifies for free lunch, growth like this doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of the systems, the culture, and the people we have in place.
How We Got Here
This growth is the direct result of our short-cycle intervention model, where resource teachers and instructional aides across the building came together for focused, skills-based support — with progress checked every two weeks and instruction adjusted in real time based on what the data showed. It's also the product of the instructional foundation we've built through our Model of Instruction, where students are learning to lead their own teams, own their thinking, and hold each other accountable for learning — not just sit and receive it.
Huff's CREW culture — "We Are Crew, Not Passengers" — means our students show up every day knowing they belong to something, and that their effort matters to the people around them. That sense of ownership carries straight into the classroom and into how our Raiders approach a test, a task, or a tough problem.
Proud of Our Students. Proud of Our Teachers.
Congratulations to our 3rd–5th grade math team, our 6th–8th grade math and literacy teachers, our Title I and intervention staff, and every teacher and aide who showed up day after day to move the needle for kids. This is a full-building win.
We're not finished — but we are proud of how far our Raiders have come, and we know this is only the beginning.
Proud to be Raiders.
